The Coronavirus Challenges Facing U.S. Farms: Get Workers, Keep Them Healthy

Driscoll’s, the world’s largest berry distributor, and its partner farms will bring some 4,000 farmworkers from Mexico to California and Florida this year to harvest crops such as strawberries and blueberries. It donated $1 million to a network of local health clinics that serve farmworkers to help fund overtime pay for doctors and nurses already swamped by an influx of patients.
