Gourmet Toast Recipes to Start Your Summer Morning

Maria from Two Peas and Their Pod is back to share with you her brilliant idea of hosting a toast party!

Toast has been around since sliced bread, but it has come a long way. It is no longer just bread and butter. Gourmet toast is the new food trend. Move over cupcakes and macarons! Many restaurants are now serving up gourmet toasts as appetizers and some even have a special toast menu. You don't have to go to a restaurant to enjoy fancy toast though; you can make your own gourmet toast at home and share with family and friends.

We all know toast is good for breakfast, but it is also good for lunch, as a snack, or even a fun party food. You can also get a little creative and turn your toast into some crowd-pleasing food art! Not only does having fun with the way you display your food make it beautiful for your party guests, but also it is so much more appetizing (and delicious) when you use beautiful fresh fruits and ingredients.

Toast bars are popping up at parties all over the place. Set out slices of bread, a few toasters, and a variety of toppings and let your guests get creative. Toast bars are a new and tasty way to entertain. Toast may sound boring, but it is a vehicle to play with different flavors and ingredients in the kitchen. The options are endless. I love topping my toasts with Driscoll's berries. Not only are they sweet and delicious, but also they look beautiful in a spread and sharing with family and friends. I personally can't wait to put these out at our 4th of July party this year!

I've tried a lot of toast toppings, but berries are always my favorite. They are the perfect toast topper.
